Message from CSSY:
Dear Friends,
It’s that time of year again. It’s hard to believe we’re preparing or a New Year. While for some the Yom Tov needs are taken for granted, for others it’s a nightmare. CSSY is there to help for those who need.
For over 33 years, Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’Yom Tov, the Organization to bring Joy on Shabbos and Yom Tov has lovingly cared for the poor. We use our wits, and chutzpah, to quietly track them down, especially people too embarrassed to ask for help. We provide food vouchers, and cash grants and pay people’s bills anonymously. We’re never on vacation; but the requirement is greatest at Tishrei time. This summer we had difficultly providing food vouchers to our neediest families, and thankfully, many people helped us. Nevertheless, we are still in tremendous need of donations.
Do not abandon them…do not put them to shame! Right now, place your generous contribution by mailing a check to CSSY 593 Montgomery St. Brooklyn, NY 11225. Or log onto www.cssy.org to donate.
Remember, we have no overhead. Every penny of your contribution goes straight to the poor.
In the merit of your kindness today, may Hashem shower you and your dear ones with great blessings, from alefto tav, for happiness, good health.
Wishing you a Kesiva V’chasima Tova,
Benzion Stock
benji your the best you do so many things for so many people!!
Hey Ted
Benji, Our Chabad House will learn of your endeavors in Crown Heights. Regards from Chanie, Chaya, Mendel, Yitzchok, Benji Pearson, Rabbi Hecht and the grand children
Have an easy fast!!
This year I can’t afford to contribute and sadly only by a hair can afford not to accept CSSY’s foods, so I contributed a facebook like to this story to help in the CSSY awareness. Sorry I couldn’t be a financial contributor this year.
There is truly no one in the world like Benji the way he helps family’s with cssy and the way he runs the school just think where are Community would be if it wasn’t for Benji
I meet many families facing financial challenges, in my role as an educator and my involvement with another type of cheesed organization. I can confirm that this organization truly helps the families in need in a dignified and respectful manner
I would like to mention a huge thanks to mrs Moskovits of CSSY for all their help
A girls’ teacher was teaching Kitzur Shulchan Aruch once, and she came upon the halacha that said you aren’t allowed to live in a community that doesn’t take care of the poor. “In other words,” she told the girls, “you aren’t allowed to live in a community that doesn’t have a Chevra Simchas Shabbos V’Yom Tov!” They are the BEST — donate generously right now!!
Hashem Blesses Benjy and his whole family and Bais Rivkah kol hakovod only simchas 🙂
