With all the negative comments you see on the blogs, it was refreshing to read your positive feedback. Yes, this is less than conventional, but we are looking for a way to engage Jewish riders and bring them into their local Chabad houses. Of course, we put safety first as riders and Jews, where we are obligated in the Torah to take care of our bodies. We look to teach and lead by example.

Whether this activity is Chassidic or not is not my business and is immaterial, certainly you are doing a good thing in m’karaving Yidden. However there is no safe motorcycle. My uncle was the sergeant of a NYC police motorcycle precinct and took a nasty spill on a oil slick and is lucky to be alive. Please be careful and well trained.anonymous

This sounds cool, and I’m sure I know a few people who would like to join.

I do hope that our ‘Rebbe’s Riders’ are aslo promoting complete motorcycle safety – boots, pants, sleeves, gloves, helmets… Hashem protects us, but we have to make the keili!
