The COVID-19 pandemic has changed much of life as we know it. We have been quarantined at home for months now. Many small and large businesses have been shuttered… some permanently. Many of us have lost our jobs. A lot of young people just starting out in the workforce are very concerned about how they will earn a living in the long term. The job market now is more uncertain than it has ever been before.
As the employment landscape has drastically changed, how will they earn a living? With schools and training programs closed, how will young Chabad men learn the necessary skills they need to support themselves and their families?
Enter Crown Heights Career Hub, a project under the JCC of Greater Coney Island and the JCC of Crown Heights. A joint effort generously funded by the UJA of Greater New York and an anonymous donor, CHCH has trained many young Chabad men in the essential skill-sets needed for career success today. Moreover, CHCH is headed by Neil Schwerd, a top corporate recruiter who uses his experience, contacts, and acumen to place young men in jobs with long-term upside growth potential.
All classes will be held online via Google Classroom. Classes are taught in real-time, with live interaction between the instructors and students. The subjects include: Quickbooks Introduction, Accounts Payables and Receivables, Full Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, WORD, PowerPoint ,etc.) and Google application equivalents, Bookkeeping Basics, Data Analysis, Amazon Sales, and much more….!!
To address the job market changes caused by the recent pandemic, CHCH’s new program is a FULLY ONLINE semester, geared to helping you find a job NOW. Six weeks of remote online training from the comfort of your own home. To provide a real-life experience, classes are followed by a one-week virtual online job simulation to give graduates the opportunity to practice newly acquired skills in a business-related environment.
The course will be followed with JOB PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE.

I see this is being offered for men … What about for women ?
We are in the midst of planning for a women’s group this July ! Classes would be 3 evenings a week from 7 to 9 pm through July and August . All of course , online as well . If interested , please apply online at http://www.chcareerhub.org .
