50 bus drivers serving all the schools in Crown Heights gathered on Sunday for a community school wide appreciation event and refresher safety course.
The gathering, which is held annually for the past few years, was held at Lubavitch Yeshiva on Crown Street and included safety training, since “safety is a big priority for Crown Heights schools,” organizers said.
The bus drivers received special gifts and enjoyed a beautiful lunch spread. They heard from various speakers about safety measures required for all drivers.

So appreciate our bus drivers. They set the tone for a good day, play story tapes or niggunim (even chitas:) based on the chasdidish calendar. Our children start and end the day with you! I hear more about the busride and driver than anything else in school… Not to mention how careful you are about our children’s safety and we all know what traffic around here is like. TY! TY! TY!
