This year, on the day when hundreds would be lining up for hair cuts at Yehuda’s Barber Shop on Kingston Avenue in Crown Heights, the store remains dark and the gates shuttered due to coronavirus shutdowns.
In the center of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, there is a small humble barbershop called Yehuda’s Barber Shop. It has been servicing the community for over a decade at the lowest prices in the area.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, a mandated order was placed to have all barber shops closed, with no end in sight.
“As a result, we have suffered greatly due to the loss and are now in need of help from those we’ve serviced over the years, and even those who have a generous heart to help,” R’ Shlomo says.
“Please find it in your hearts to help us cover the expenses we have accumulated in the past few months. Our goal is modest, just enough to cover our losses. We are hoping that with your help, we will be able to serve our wonderful community once again.”
