New Yorkers will have to start carrying their COVID-19 vaccine card or a digital copy to get into restaurants, bars, nightclubs and outdoor music festivals starting Monday.
The new requirement is the most aggressive step the city has taken yet to curb a surge in cases caused by the delta variant. As the first major U.S. city to require anyone partaking in certain indoor activities or large outdoor gatherings to show proof they’ve been inoculated, all eyes are on the five boroughs. People will have to show proof that they have had at least one vaccine dose and business owners are burdened with enforcing the rules.
The simplest way to prove you’ve gotten the shot is simply to show your vaccination card — the same piece of paper you get from health providers and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Taking a picture of that card at home and then showing the image to the bouncer at the club can also work.

There is no HIPAA violation. HIPAA only controls what your doctor can say about you. Your doctor can’t tell anyone whether you’re vaccinated without your permission — but nobody is asking her to. YOU are being asked to show proof that you’ve been vaccinated. Not your doctor. And you own that information, so you are absolutely entitled to reveal it to anyone you like, and if you choose not to then you cannot enter these premises.

Natural immunity can last a lifetime. Antibodies are not the only immunity. There is humoral immunity which lasts after antibodies are gone which is far superior to any vaccine and isnt being tested for. This vaccine makes a rise of antibodies which in israel disappeared after 4 months, causing israel to give boosters. In contrast those who had caught the virus and recovered rarely got it again. Natural immunity from surviving infection is far superior to any vaccine.

My landlord’s son and daughter-in-law were both fully vaccinated, and they both got Covid at a wedding. They were both really sick, and even worse, their disabled young son got Covid from them with a 104 fever and had to be taken to the hospital. This is in Valley Stream.
