By the time they hit 4th or 5th grade, most boys in cheder today are already starting to learn Mishna. Mothers of these boys are used to practicing their kriah with them, asking them questions about the parsha and learning Chumash with them. But once their sons reach middle school, many moms take a step back.
Having never been exposed to Mishna or Gemara themselves, these women find it challenging to continue taking an active role in their sons’ learning. Their sons are coming home with seforim that are foreign to them and with questions they feel unequipped to answer.
A brand new course offered by Batsheva Learning Center this summer aims to change that. The course is an opportunity for women to demystify Mishna and gain a familiarity with its language and style, so that they can feel comfortable and confident with opening up a sefer of mishnayos on their own. It gives mothers the tools to be able to learn with their sons as they grow up and be part of their education at every stage of their lives.
The registration deadline is this Sunday! Learn more at: www.batshevalearningcenter.com/courses
