Instead of the standard bouquet of red roses, David Schottenstein, Miami entrepreneur, has decided to make a substantial gift to the Mayanot Institute of Jewish Studies in honor of his wife Eda on the occasion of their 10th wedding anniversary.
The Schottensteins’ contribution will be used to dedicate the entrance hall of the new Men’s Program Beit Midrash and dormitory that will be built on Mayanot’s Rohr Campus in Jerusalem.
Mr. Schottenstein, CEO and founder of Viewabill, is elated to be celebrating 10 years of marriage with his wife Eda and wanted to contribute to Mayanot to mark this incredible milestone in their lives.
“What a beautiful present David is giving to his wife Eda and how appropriate for a wedding anniversary, since encouraging Jewish education and values will hopefully help to create more happy Jewish homes, just like David and Eda’s wonderful home,” Rabbi Shemtov, Executive Director of Mayanot, exclaimed.
David and Eda Schottenstein have been great friends to Mayanot in the past, establishing Mayanot’s Holtzberg Administrative Center.
Rabbi Shlomo Gestetner, Dean of Mayanot, blessed the happy couple, saying “We are truly grateful to the Schottensteins for their gift and bless them with many more happy years of marriage.”
I’m sure he didn’t skimp on the roses though 🙂
We are trying – there simply is no more space!
