Countess Rivka Elkaim, a resident of Bal Harbour, Florida who was a donor of the broadcasts of the Rebbe’s Farbrengens in the 1980s and other Chabad causes, passed away on Motzei Shabbos, 22 Elul, 5782.
She was 80, just a few days shy of her 81st birthday on 27 Elul.
She passed away after being in a terrible accident 10 days ago.
Rivka was a descendant of the Shaloh haKadosh and related to the Gerrer Rebbe.
Together with her husband, Count Machlouf Elkaim, she was a donor to many Chabad causes, including the sponsoring of the television broadcasts of the Rebbe’s farbrengens in the 1980s, bringing the Rebbe to countless people around the world.
They also founded Chabad of Mid- Miami in 1986.
She is survived by her husband Count Machlouf and daughter Esther Rochel.
The Levaya will take place on Sunday, passing by 770 Eastern Parkway at 1:00 p.m. and burial at Montefiore Cemetery at 1:45 pm.

May I add that the broadcasting of Farbrengens isn’t just a historical fact of the 80s, we owe those involved in that effort a big thank you for enabling generations to experience the Rebbe’s Farbrenges in good quality till this very day.
