A medical crisis is never expected, and certainly never planned for.
Ahavas Chesed assists community members during medical crises, ensuring that no Jew goes through these hardships alone.
At the start of each new year, Rabbi Avraham Lider, founder of Ahavas Chesed, would make his well-known “Yom Kippur Appeal”, asking the community to partner with him in his tremendous ongoing chessed.
Unfortunately, Rabbi Lider passed away on Rosh Hashana last year, only days before his Yom Kippur Appeal.
Rabbi Lider’s first yahrtzeit is approaching. His son, Rabbi Dovid Lider, who currently serves as the director of Ahavas Chessed, is charged to continue its mission in supporting fellow Yidden in medical crisis.
Rabbi Avraham Lider’s tremendous chessed for our community was vital in helping families through the turmoil of medical emergencies.
Now, it is up to us to continue his work.
