Crews were seen at the empty lot adjacent to the Crown Condos in Crown Heights this week, as workers begin stage one of the construction of new housing in the neighborhood.
The future project will contain over 200 rental units, COLlive has learned.
The new apartments will help with desperately needed housing in the Crown Heights neighborhood.
The building is a project spearheaded by R’ Mendel Drizin obm of Crown Heights, who was the builder of the adjacent Crown Condos building, and is being brought to fruition by his son Chaim Drizin.
There goes the neighborhood 😉
More housing means people can stay in the community actually…
Bh! wishing Chaim much success!
Hope it’s going to be for anash….
Would be a smart idea to include parking under building
Crown heights is in desperate need of greenery and breathing space. Not good for kids to see brick all day. They need a bit of nature. Please leave some grass and trees, maybe room for a garden. We shouldn’t need to go to the botanical garden to see some nature. Thank you!
The desperation for housing weighs over the desperation for greenery!
Hope it goes well, that plot of land has been idle a long time, 15 years since I have been here, probably decades ?
What a great initiative! Would be great if some of these apartments can be purchased as affordable, nice condos. There’s such a need for it!
Could there be a fitness center and/or at least a swimming pool, in the basement?
Where can I sign up
