Close to 100 people filled the hall at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Folsom, CA to enjoy a “Night of Comedy”, the fourth annual fundraising event for Chabad of Folsom, El Dorado Hills and surrounding areas.
Guests bid on the many prizes in the Chinese Auction and Silent Auction, many winning valuable prizes; in addition to spinning the “Wheel of Good Fortune”, hoping to win an iPad.
Comedian Avi Lieberman had the crowd laughing out loud, and all that were present enjoyed a wonderful evening. Rabbi Yossi Grossbaum shared with the crowd the Rebbe’s vision, preparing the world for Moshiach.
As Rabbi Grossbaum told the crowd, “The stage is set, everything is in place, only the curtains need to be drawn.” As one women commented after the evening, “What a fantastic evening, and what an eye opener.”
Rabbi Yossi and Goldie Grossbaum and their children moved to Folsom four years ago and established a Chabad House, initially operating out of their house.
In order to meet the growing needs of the community, in September 2009 Chabad moved into its own location. Learn more about their work and donate at JewishFolsom.org.
