This Sunday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 our Council Member Crystal Hudson is hosting a “Coffee with Crystal” meeting at the popular kosher cafe Barista and the Baker, on Nostrand and Rogers.
She wants to hear from us about anything that we are concerned with, and it’s a great way to share your ideas of what we need and how to make the neighborhood better.
In honor of Women’s History Month, Simcha Baez, a local mother, was asked to come and talk about important issues that affect all moms and families: maternal health, doolah access, paid family leave and making childcare affordable.
Please come out, and feel free to bring your babies! Her office does ask that you please RSVP with the attached link.
Feel free to email her office with any questions and ideas if you are unable to attend.
Phone: 718-260-9191, [email protected]

More important than anything else is the MONSTER MEGA size shelter coming to town. Our safety of young mothers and babies is at stake with mentally ill homeless being dumped in Crown Heights. Our children can not play safely in parks. We all saw the types of people roaming Rutland park this summer with their pants half down. DEMAND and ask what is being done on her part about this situation?
Please stop calling the homeless mentally ill. Some people are homeless who work full time jobs but they still cannot afford the rent and housing in Crown Heights. Greed is also a mental illness.
Thank you so much to Crystal! The event was so positive!
