Community News Service COLlive.com’s exciting online Purim costume contest, sharing the joyous spirit of the holiday with others, has completed their annual online competition.
The contest featured original and refreshing costume ideas that many times give a glimpse into the social fabric of the Chabad Lubavitch Jewish community around the globe.
The contest garnered thousands of votes from readers around the world.
The winners, with 1754 votes, are Rabbi Yossi and Chana Eta Turk, Shluchim in Cordoba, Argentina, dressed as two Challahs. The Turks’ delicious Challahs are a Cordoba specialty. Over 33 years now, 26.73 tons and 106.920 freshly home baked Challahs later, Rabbi Yossi and Chana Eta Turk just decided to dress up as when we mean to so many people, freshly baked delicious challah!
Second place winner is the Cowboy/farmer family submitted by Freidy Malka.
Third place winner is an adorable “Bubby”, Avigail Lipkind.
Fourth place winner is Plague Doctor, Mendel Lazer.
