On the 2nd of Nissan, the yahrzeit of the Rebbe Rashab, over 350 people gathered at Miami’s Faena Forum for an inspiring evening and the Colel Chabad Florida Rebuild Dreams Gala – to support Israel’s neediest. This annual dinner has become a cherished tradition, the event was beautiful with great energy and a strong sense of unity.
Hosted by Alex Blavatnik, the gala honored Zalmi and Leah Duchman, sixth-generation supporters of Colel Chabad, who emphasized the importance of both financial contributions and raising awareness for the organization’s vital work. Ryan and Rachel Levinson-Bailine were also honored for their longstanding commitment, receiving generational awards in acknowledgment of their dedication to Colel Chabad.
A highlight of the evening was a musical performance by Noam Buskila, featuring Nissim and Tchia Zaga—siblings from Israel who, as orphans, have benefited from Colel Chabad’s support and music programs for over 20 years. Their music deeply moved the audience, showcasing the impact of the organization’s Chesed Menachem Mendel, widows and orphans program.
Rabbi Sholom Duchman, Director of Colel Chabad, delivered a detailed shareholders report, underscoring the organization’s unwavering dedication since 1788. The funds raised will provide essential support for Pesach to Israel’s most vulnerable.
Ambassador Yehiel Leiter concluded the evening with a powerful address, emphasizing the bond between Jews and the responsibility to support those sacrificing for Israel.
