Most business owners don’t ask, “why do I need a mentor?”
They ask, “why is it so hard to find the right one?”
CHYE aims to make mentorship simple with their new flagship program, Level Eight Mentorship, based on past success with their mentorship initiatives.
The Mishneh categorizes Tzedakah by eight distinct levels. The highest level, Level Eight, is to support a fellow Jew by entering into a partnership with him to help him become independent and eventually support himself.
Level Eight Mentorship embodies this level of Tzedakah, giving business owners of all stages the mentorship resources to grow and thrive in their careers and businesses. By pairing appropriate mentors and mentees, everyone can benefit from this mutual relationship: a giving of Tzedakah and a receiving of a wealth of knowledge.
One key issue that Level Eight aims to solve is pairing mentees with a mentor that is right for them. The Rebbe says (Sefer Hasichos 5749) that a Rav/mashpia should be someone who is greater than you, yet on your level. Meaning, a mentor must be someone you look up to, yet is relatable to your situation, knowledge, and life experience.
This is the goal of Level Eight Mentorship – find a next level mentor for every business level.
“There are many areas of business that are difficult to navigate for even the most advanced entrepreneur,” says CHYE founder, Yehoshua Werde. “Level Eight Mentorship will help everyone, regardless of expertise, get the best results from their budding business.”
The mentoring program will be open to everyone in the US who is in the four key stages of business growth:
-Pre-Venture
-Looking to start a business
-Start-up
-Beginning stages of starting a business
-Growth Stage Business
-1-3 years in business
-Established Business
-3+ years in business
Each stage will come with its own unique advisory topics that include:
-Business Plans
-Start Up Assistance
-Finance and Accounting
-Legal
-IT
-Marketing
-Human Resources
-Strategic Planning
Other initiatives included in Level Eight Mentorship program will involve networking events, mentor nights, a Mini MBA program, an Accelerator program, and much more!
Zalman Raskin, a CHYE member and founder/CEO of Fello, had high praise for the mentorship program which has helped him navigate building his successful company.
“It’s extremely helpful to be able to talk to somebody with experience who has ‘been there, done that,’ and who has already gone through what you’re going through now,” said Raskin. “And, there is something comforting and familiar about getting advice from someone who is not only an expert, but who is also from within your own community.”
