The answer is not to run way nor is it to get in fights with everyone. Rather we need to be strong and be prepared in case something does happen or someone is confronted on the street. And every place where Jews are there needs to be groups which will protect and teach real good lessons if needed so they think twice before bothering a Jew again.

We need to have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to Jewish safety.

Thanks to partisans in ww2 thousands of Jews were saved.

The Rebbe ztl once said that Poland should never be revived as a jewish centre due to the entrenched anti semitism of the Polish. So its not an issue of being left but its OUR duty if we “outsiders”see a country allowing Jews to be attacked to get them out before it gets too bad.Using Israel as a comparison is not really a topic of discussion as Israel is THE land for the Jews and always will be,the fact that the Israeli Government are making bad decisions doesn’t mean that Jews shouldn’t live there.

Yes we were confronted by Anti Semites but we never ran!  Every time we were shouted at I saw it as an opportunity to teach the whole city a good lesson, which usually ended up with the anti Semite on the floor or running for his life.  We never walked around ashamed to be Jews we would sing and dance songs like “I am a Jew and I’m proud and “nyet nyet nikavo” in the streets. Us Jews have ran for too long. When we are strong and not afraid even our enemy’s respect us.  Once I was a bit… Read more »

The comments here look like they have been written by secular leftists. Should we give up shlichus to hundreds of thousands of jews and our mekomos kedoshim due to a few incidents.
First worry about Israel where there have been hundreds killed in suicide bomber terrorist attacks lo aleinu.

You are very lucky B”H that your shaliach or mashpia who guided you in the Ukraine — making you frum — did not get beaten up also like this current chosid. If I was being mekareved in such a place, I would suggest “hey mashpia: let us both travel to a safer haven and continue your shlichus with me there”. I would not put him through the danger.

We werent really asking Rabbi Jungreis his opinion as to where we should send our shluchim.
Perhaps he would like to start a “don’t go to Uman” campaign. There have been people beaten there too.
Oh, and did you hear about the Israelis that were beaten up in Israel by other Yidden, lo aleinu, perhaps he should now express surprise that there are so many Yidden sending their sons to shteig in Israel….

2 words-get out!there is a reason why all the jews left these countries after the war…this is not a place to encourage jewish community to flourish rather to help jews out to safer places.

Rabbi Jacob Jungreis of Ateres Yisrael, a told me a few years ago the ground in the Ukraine is drenched with Jewish blood…he was appalled when I told him my son goes there to do camp & at Pesach & Rosh Hashana. He said the goyim there are worse than the Poles. Now I see what he means. B”H my son has “aged out” & doesn’t go there any more. Every Yom Tov there’s another “incident.”

Time to leave that stinking country. Russia and Ukraine have done no good for the world except produce anti-semites and send monkeys into space.
