Governors Island
If you plan on visiting Governors during the Sukkot holiday, please leave at least 15 extra minutes to board the ferry. Staff will be present at both ferry landings on the Island to provide assistance and answer questions.
Governors Island will be open during normal hours, from 7am to 6pm, through the Sukkot holiday.
Ferries operated by the Trust for Governors Island will run between 10 South Street in Lower Manhattan and Soissons Landing on the Island. The final public ferry leaves Manhattan at 4:15pm and leaves Governors Island at 6pm every day.
NYC Ferry will operate a modified schedule to accommodate higher ridership during the Sukkot holiday. NYC Ferry operates from Yankee Pier, located on the Eastern side of Governors Island.
From 7am-10am, Governors Island will be served by the South Brooklyn route.
From 10am-6pm, Governors Island will be served by the Governors Island-Pier 11/Wall Street Shuttle.
The final NYC Ferry off the Island will depart from Yankee Pier at 5:49pm October 2-5.
