In the days and months following the Histalkus of our dear Rebbetzin, the Rebbe spoke frequently on the theme, “And the living shall take to heart”—how the passing of a person close to oneself should prompt one to positive action, in the form of lessons derived from that person’s life and deeds undertaken to perpetuate his or her memory.
In the years following, through marking the day together with the Rebbe and hearing first-hand stories of her life, it became clear how central a place the Rebbetzin held in the Rebbe’s Nesius. As we approach this special day, Chassidim around the world prepare by learning from the life of the Rebbetzin and the Rebbe’s Torah about the day.

In the Rebbe’s words at the conclusion of the Shiva for the Rebbetzin, “It is customary to conduct a Chassidishe Farbrengen for the elevation of the Neshama. It should be done in a beautiful and dignified manner and with many participants – as many as possible.”
The central Chof Beis Shevat Farbrengen will take place near the Rebbe’s Ohel on Thursday evening, Chof Beis Shevat at 9:00 PM. More details to follow.
