Following Shavuos, the popular Kids Chitas launched a new initiative making the daily Chitas available in an easy to use app (download from iTunes or Play).
Kids Chitas is used in thousands of homes and many schools around the world, and contains concise, lucid summaries of a Chossid’s daily shiurim—Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya, Rambam and Sefer Hamitzvos, as well as brief selections on geulah and Moshiach, tefillah and practical daily halachah.
“It started as a favor for a few families, and has spiraled beyond our wildest imaginations, boruch Hashem!” says Rabbi Mendel Hecht, shliach in Cortland, NY, who authors the emails together with his wife, Nechama Dina. “The feedback from readers has been tremendous. We are humbled and honored to be involved,” he said.
In true Chassidishe fashion, the Hechts are not satisfied with past accomplishments. Following the popularity of the audio feature launched last year, the app adds a wide range of flexible listerning and reading options. “Having a beautiful app with amazing features makes it even easier to use, and will bring the daily Torah learning to many more people.” says Mrs. Hecht.
The brilliantly crafted daily doses are packed with short and easy-to-read sections that are self-contained and therefore flexible for use in all types of situations. Parents and teachers use it to learn with their children, and summer camps and clubs use it as perfect learning materials for children of many ages and backgrounds.
The daily delivery is easy-to-understand and very inspirational and informative. It is now available in three convenient and free methods: a daily email, audio sent to you via watsapp, and the brand new App. The daily email reaches over 7,000 families daily with many more choosing one of the other convenient methods.
Many children travel every day to school. This new audio Chitas is available for free and is a perfect way to utilize the travel time productively. “Parents tell me that they often don’t have time to sit down and learn the daily shiurim until late at night after the day winds down,” adds Mrs. Hecht. “Having the summaries available in audio and in an app makes it very practical to listen wherever you are, and gives you easy access to inspiration during the day.”
This new app is being launched in memory of Zev Aryeh a”h Glick.

An absolutely valuable and incredible learning tool. Yishar koach for the tremendous work involved
It’s amazing. We have a 25-30 minute ride to school and my children ask to listen “again!” after it ends.
Oh, and you forgot to mention the niggunei hissvadus at the end of every segment. All around amazing.
This is such an amazing thing. My kids love it, and I do to (TBH!)
