Now, more than ever, it’s important for children around the world to unite for a Purim rally.
Today over 5,000 soldiers in 42 bases around the globe watched an amazing rally prepared by Tzivos Hashem Headquarters.
Each year the children of Hashem’s Army would gather in 770 for a Purim rally; today thousands connect across 5 continents in honor of the Yom Tov.
“Just as children gathered with Mordechai Hatzadik and brought about the Geula in the times of Purim, children today gather with our Mordechai—the Rebbe—and they will bring Moshiach,” says Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, vice-chairman of Merkos L’lnyonei Chinuch.
Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, director of Chayolei Tzivos Hashem, leads the rally, getting right into the Purim spirit. He encourages the chayolim to sing and clap along to a niggun, challenging them to keep up with the Rebbe’s pace.
Then there’s the promotion film. “The rally is the time when we honor the chayolim who have advanced in rank” explains Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, executive director of Tzivos Hashem. “We are proud of the hundreds of chayolim who’ve been promoted over the past two months; they truly deserve these moments of fame.”
With the help of schools around the world, videos of chayoim reciting the 12 pessukim were filmed, followed by a clip of the Rebbe encouraging the children to sing the Tzivos Hashem anthem: “We want Moshiach NOW!”
The highlight of the rally is when chayolim receive their orders from their general, the Rebbe. This film was introduced by three girls named Chanie, who explain the sicha to their fellow chayolim in the most adorable way.
Tzivos Hashem thanks Rabbi Mendel Gurary from JEM for restoring an 30-year-old clip from their archives from. It is of the rally that took place on Yud Adar Sheini 5744. Rabbi JJ Hecht had gotten the children to make a declaration: “REBBE WE ARE WITH YOU!” The chayolim of today make the same declaration, “REBBE WE WILL NEVER SEPARATE FROM YOU!”

It was a special week, the week the Frierdiker Rebbe arrived in America. The rally includes footage of the Frierdiker Rebbe coming off the boat in America. Chayolim are encouraged to be real soldiers, with Mesiras Nefesh no matter where they are.
Today Tzivos Hashem launched a massive campaign: a birthday gift to be given to the Rebbe on Yud Aleph Nissan. $36,000 for Maos Chitim, 112,000 lines of Mishanyos Baal Peh and 224,000 lines of Tanya Baal Peh. The campaign was launched with a catchy song sung by Rabbi Nissen Brenenson.
The rally continues by announcing winner of the Chof Zayin Adar Hiskashrus essay contest. Hundreds of chayolim entered, but only one winning chayol got to read his essay in front of all his fellow chayolim. Major Yakkov Yosef Heidingsfeld from Manchester England describes his connection to our Nasi Hador and how he yearns for Moshiach.
Next, the raffle winners are announced. Over 50 chayolim win; sets of seforim, a bike, video camera, and electric scooter are just a few of the awesome prizes to be won.
To end off the rally with a bang, a new medal ceremony film, produced by Boruch Feller, was launched. This will serve as an introduction to the awards ceremony that takes place in each school, as soldiers are awarded medals earned during this past month. Tzivos Hashem offers a special thanks to the volunteers of 7th grade Beis Rivka, who helped pack thousands of medals at headquarters.
The rally was produced with the hard work of Saralaya Rockford, filmed and edited by Getzy and Moshe Raskin, with a voice over by Choni Milecki. Tzivos Hashem could not achieve the Rebbe’s vision without such a dedicated and talented team!
The rally is one of the programs of Chayolei Tzivos Hashem brought to you by Rabbi Moshe Kotlarsky, vice-chairman of Merkos L’lnyonei Chinuch and Rabbi Yerachmiel Benjaminson, executive director of Tzivos Hashem in partnership with Shaya Smetana from anash.com.
