In the days leading up to Pesach, the “Mitzva Tank” of Panama traveled around to bring a Matzah Bakery workshop to hundreds of children around Panama City.
The Matzah baking workshops were organized through the dedication of Shliach Rabbi Shlomo Nissim Poliwoda.
Bochurim Ber Chaim Arcusin and Mendel Lapidus led fascinating workshops on Shmura Matzah in many schools in various communities.
The children learned about the process of making Matzah, from the beginning in a wheat field to the baking in the oven, and together with the children they prepared “matza.”
At the end of each workshop, the children received a Shmurah matzah that they saved for the night of the Seder.
The initiative brought the joy of the holiday to many Jewish families and households and introduced many more people to Chabad’s activities in the city.
