Rabbi Shais Taub, author of “G-d of Our Understanding,” is world renowned for his work and writings in the field of addiction, recovery spoke movingly at an awareness event about abuse.
Speaking at Chabad of Boca Raton in Florida, Rabbi Taub drew parallels and lessons from the Torah portions of Bereishit and Noach which we are reading now.
He described to the crowd the strong need many survivors of child abuse have to be constantly distracted, this leads many to substance abuse and addiction.
Rabbi Taub estimated that 90% of the people he deals with who have severe addictions were victims of child abuse.
Nicely put. I also got that. Very empowering,
Very nice talk.
He basically said that were are all troubled by self-consciousness but that survivors sense this basic human condition most keenly and therefor can be the leaders in the work of healing the whole world.
That’s what I got. What did you get?

Moshiach is coming…very soon… When brilliance like this is so crystal clear and speaks to every heart!
