The Rishon LeZion and Sefardic Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi David Yosef Shlita made a special trip to Moscow for Yud Tes Kislev the Rosh Hashana of Chassidus.
He spent most of his time alongside Head Shliach Rabbi Berel Lazar who took the time to show him all the flourishing Mosdos all around the city and surrounding area.
The culmination of his 3 day visit was a special Farher to the Shluchim to Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim Moscow – Sofrino, Schneur Bekerman, Aryeh Dovber Bruchstat, Motty Gorman, Nachman Mathless, Shloimy Kanelsky, Shraga Kaplan, Shalom Polter, Schneur Seper, Moshe Young, and Mendel Zaltzman. They each sat for many hours spanning weeks in preparation for this rigorous test.
Alongside the Sefardic Chief Rabbi sat Head Shliach Rabbi Berel Lazar along with some of the Yeshiva staff, Rabbi Chezy Lazar – Menahel, Rabbi Mendy Goldberg – Rosh Yeshiva, and Rabbi Dovid Rosenzweig – Semicha Magid Shiur.
The Talmidim Hashluchim have continued every day since on their important Shlichus working with the Balei Teshuvah of their Yeshiva; the only Tomchei Temimim opened at the direct request of the Rebbe.
