As a culmination of all their hard work and perseverance in learning Sefer Hamitzvos, students of Cheder Chabad Florida traveled to New York for an unforgettable 3-day experience. The trips were arranged by Chidon coordinators Rabbi Zalmen Shimon Itkin for the boys’ school, and Morah Miriam Klein for the girls’ school.
The trip was an exceptional experience both in Gashmius and Ruchnius. In addition to joining hundreds of local students for a trip to the water and amusement parks at the American Dream mall, Cheder Chabad students were immersed in the special ruchnius atmosphere of Crown Heights.
The students prepared in advance for their visit to the Rebbe’s Ohel, 770, the Rebbe’s room, and the library. The boys had the unique opportunity to have a conversation with the Rebbe’s secretary, Rabbi Yehudah Krinsky in his home. Many expressed that this was the most memorable part of their trip!
The girls had an eye-opening Farbrengen with Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum coupled with a unique behind-the-scenes tour of Tzivos Hashem’s operations in its headquarters.
Rabbi Aharon Matusof expressed how important it is for the students of Cheder Chabad Florida to experience the Chassidiskeit of their roots and stay connected to the source.
“The students sensed the Nachas Ruach that their learning brings to the Rebbe. They had the opportunity to travel to the Rebbe, visit the Ohel, Daven in 770, meet Eltere Chassidim and walk the streets of Crown Heights,” Rabbi Matusof said.
Cheder Chabad thanks the entire Tzivos Hashem team headed by Rabbi Shimmy Weinbaum, and Rabbi Yossi Bryski for organizing this incredible trip.
