Lubavitcher Chazzan Dovid Caytak, a resident of Jerusalem, has been working on a project to record Chabad niggunim with a simple accompaniment in an elegant way.
“In recent years, there has been a tremendous outpouring of new recordings of niggunim from outstanding talent,” he says. “However, the vast majority of these, have changed the style of the niggunim to more modern styles.”
In an effort to preserve the original style, Caytak recorded the niggunim in a more classical style “to let the niggun speak for itself.”
“That is not to say that I hasn’t taken some liberties to make some changes, for example ending some of the songs on a higher note,” he notes.
Among the nigunim are Yemin Hashem, Keili Ato, Anim Zmiros, Rachamana, Vehi Sheomdo and the original cantorial Sheyibone

Dovid ,
Very refreshing and uplifting I can’t wait to hear more
Thank you for posting. I love hearing Chabad nigunim.
Really beautiful!
Takes me back to the days when I would hear the niggunim in my zeidas house . . the real thing!:) Aidel and pure
Please bring out more, we’d love to hear
For those who are having trouble getting to all of the niggunim,
Click on the name and it will take you to the page where all of the niggunim are displayed
To all those making minor corrections, if you read the article, it clearly said that he isn’t aiming for 100 percent accuracy.
He is just aiming for a certain style and has taken the liberty to make some changes.
Come hear him live at the Tzemach Tzedek Shul every Shabbos and hear me say Yechi.BH the response team is growing especially when Rabbis Shem Tov and Kotlarsky are here along with Rabbi Estulin who has a $2 bill dated 1928 for the 90th anniversary of MHM👍👍👍
Its very nice! I really like the voice! And the idea of keeping the original style of niggunim is extremely laudable! For the future if your intention is to keep the original accurate style of niggunim you should really listen Nichoach and sing according to that cuz thats really the only accurate source. But again very nice job!
Sounds like you are nit picking I think you need to recognize the beauty of Chazan Dovid Caytak’s voice
Wow! Thank you for posting these beautiful recordings. May you go mechayil el choyil.
The niggunim are so pleasant to listen to!
Thank you!!
We flew Rabbi Caytak out to perform throughout our wedding weekend. He was INCREDIBLE, really brought the event to a whole new level. Young and old were blown away by his chazzanus. An even greater person behind the voice!!
Beautiful voice, but that last ”na” at the end of the first stanza of rachamono is not part of the niggun the rebbe presented. Neither isbthe repeat of an’im zamiros first or second stanzas. In v’hi she’omdoh,.he sings the word as bilvad, but in the hagodoh it is bilvod, and it’s Veha-kodosh Boruch hu, not ve-hakodosh.
Yes, these are subtle small changes, but the rebbe’s were very particular about their songs. We must sing them properly.
So refreshing to hear pure Chabad nigunim sang in an eidele way
Wow, beautiful voice.
You have such a beautful voice. Reb Dovid: may you continue to use your Gd given talent to inspire yourself and others!
My cousin heard you last week at a Shabbaton in Sarasota.
He enjoyed so much! You are on the up and up. My wife are and I concurred that you are going to be offered a very plum position in a shul that appreciates chazanus
We run a Chabad House and we are going to bring you out for a concert and Shabbaton
WOW!!!!!.
