Is it against the Chabad Minhag to eat stuffed cabbage on Simchas Torah?
Tonight, at the “Match Me a Chavrusa” program in Crown Heights, there’s no question it is allowed to enjoy delicious stuffed cabbage and other refreshments as Rabbi Kalman Weinfeld discusses this and other Minhagim, such as Schlissel Challah, which have been debated as to whether Chabad follows these customs.
The Chavrusa learning program launched in Crown Heights this summer at Beis Eliezer Yitzchok Shul on Kingston Avenue l’iluy Nishmas Rabbi Don Yoel Levy OBM.
Participants gather to learn in a Chavrusa setting, and then enjoy refreshments.
The learning takes place every evening at 8:30 pm. The Chavrusa learning is followed by Maariv at 9:15 pm.
Buffet dinner served nightly.
Those interested in learning with a chavrusa during the evenings can contact Rabbi Kalman Weinfeld via WhatsApp at 347-515-3232 and he will do his utmost to match you with a chavrusa.
