What is it about all the buzz in the Luxury watch industry right now? If you think about it — they’re just watches, right???
Wrong!
Stellar name brands like Rolex, Patek, and AP are solid commodities like gold, they have such powerful names—think, Mishlei’s, Tov Shem Mshemen Tov (A good name is better than good oil).
A recent study has shows Chinese investors prefer investing in luxury watches over real estate, hmm wonder if that has anything to do with the low supply.
But, is there, something stronger driving the world to the point of total and utter infatuation — obsession — with luxury watches? Chabad Lubavitcher Chossid – Moshe Kravitsky shares some perspective of Chassidus on the matter — and brings some very powerful points in hopes of refocusing attention to what’s actually happening here.

Right now certain brands of watches are an investment. For right now. The bubble is going to burst however on the inflated grey market. So for now Rolex, AP, Patek and Vacheron on the grey market are going for way above new retail prices. They are not however long term investments. So sell now while the grey market is insane. I have several and are going for approximately 3 to 4 tomes what i paid. These prices are not likely to last and certainly not long term.
