Chabad of Forest Hills North in Queens, directed by Rabbi Mendy and Chaya Hecht held many Chanukah celebrations in the community.
Events included Chanukah parties for seniors at Atria Living Center, a young professionals Shabbat dinner, and a Sunday family celebration.
The last night concluded with a big bang, together with Dr. Louis Philip Rotkowitz, a doctor specializing in emergency medicine, they reached out to community members at work throughout Queens.
Places visited were JFK Border Patrol, Police Chiefs and Officers at Port Authority NY/NJ Police stations and other Police Precincts, ending off with a Chanukah Party late at night at an FDNY EMS Station.
Many of them celebrated this Chanukah for their very first time and were very proud to join the #sharethelights social media campaign.
Wow! Keep going strong. Truly moving, inspiring and unbelievable!!

Special thanks to Rabbi and Rebbitzin Mordechai Hecht
Here in Forest Hills although we are a diverse community we all know and appreciate a good thing when we see it!
Rabbi Mendy and Chaya Hecht are true messengers of the Great Lubavitch Rebbe!
We also see here that trademark tradition of Rabbi Mordechai and Hecht Family in reaching out and bringing Jewish people back home in the warmest way with joy, devotion and enthusiasm!
G-d bless the good Rabbi his wife, and family for many, many years.
