The first annual Chanukah Toy Drive, in memory of Shula Swerdlov a”h, has begun.
Bins for dropping off toys have been placed in many stores on Kingston Avenue.
The toy drive was initiated by friends of the Swerdlov family who wished to help others in Shula’s honor.
The toys will be distributed to children with special needs on Chanukah through the Friendship Circle of Brooklyn.
Bins are located in Sell- A- Bration, Zakon’s, Everything but the Baby, Judaica World, Bargain Center and the JCM Gift Shop.
Monsey families can participate easily by dropping off toys at the Cheder office (Girls & Preschool Bldg.) — they will be brought into CH for you!
this is so nice @ i think everyone should give a prize!
True but lets focus on the good not the errors!!
It is very important to write “children with special needs” as opposed to “special needs children”. The idea is that they are children first and have special needs second.
This is an incredible idea and may it be a zechus for the pure soul. May HKB”H reward the effort from all volunteers that put so much hard work into this program. Don’t underestimate how much happiness your small toy can bring to some deprive yiddishe neshamala.
Yes i agree with # 3 ill go grab a toy on the way home from work!
This is an amazing idea by some amazing people. I encourage everyone to take part! There is no greater feeling then seeing a happy child especially if that smile is in the merit of another child. It’s nice to see the community coming together for a meaningful cause.
Its amazing what Friendship Circle is doing for this community!! Im going to give a toy right now!
