Over 1000 people gathered on the San Antonio River in the heart of downtown San Antonio, Texas, for the 22 Annual Chanukah on the River celebration.
It was organized by Chabad Center for Jewish Life & Learning in San Antonio, led by Rabbi Chaim Block and the team of Shluchim and Shluchos.
Hundreds of people cruised down the river in special boats outfitted with Menorahs. Skits with actors depicting scenes from the Chanukah story were scattered along the riverboat route.
The boats arrived at the Arneson River Theatre to sounds of mariachis playing Jewish music giving the celebration a unique Texas flavor.
Mayor Ron Nirenberg brought greetings from the city of San Antonio, and the Maccabeats entertained the crowd with a memorable concert.
