Like many shluchos, Chani’s day is packed. Between running preschool, hosting women’s events, Shabbos and holiday programs, directing Hebrew school, driving carpools, supplementing her children’s education, or simply connecting to each person, Chani is always there for others.
Unlike many shluchos, Chani also juggles endless therapy and specialist appointments for her child with special needs. Despite a tight schedule and financial challenges, Chani and her husband spend thousands of dollars and hours just to ensure their son’s therapies and special needs are met.
As a shlucha and mother raising a child with special needs, Chani is isolated from vital resources and community support that our kehilos are renowned for.
Yet she is not alone.
Despite the distance, Chani knows that she can rely on Yaldei Shluchei HaRebbe for financial resources, advocacy, and the embrace of community support. Yaldei’s grants have enabled Chani to provide her child with at-home wheelchair accessibility, many hours of physical therapy, and the opportunity to attend a Jewish camp experience.
