Chai Lifeline presents “Remembering Surfside,” a special webcast marking the one-year anniversary of the tragic condo collapse in Surfside, Florida. The online program features Rabbi Sholom Lipskar, spiritual leader and founder of The Shul of Bal Harbour, giving his first-hand account of the community, and what turned out to be worldwide relief efforts following the collapse. Also featured is Mrs. Chani Juravel, LCSW, noted lecturer and therapist, offering words of insight and comfort, as well as an introduction by Rabbi Simcha Scholar, CEO of Chai Lifeline.
Chai Lifeline’s crisis services team was and continues to be a constant presence in the Surfside community during the search efforts and beyond.
“A year later, this devastating situation still hurts. We think about the orphans, the widows and widowers and about a community that suffered so greatly,” said Rabbi Scholar. “Through these words of comfort, I hope that we can demonstrate the responsibility we have to continue the legacy and the message of Surfside.”
