A group of Chabad volunteers visited IDF soldiers on the Gaza strip, helping to supply our soldiers with satisfying meals, hairdressing, laundry services, and Judaism.
In the past week, Hertzel Kosashvili joined Ezer LaChayal-Kfar Chabad volunteers who went to a military base at the border of the Gaza Strip to make soldiers happy and lift their spirits with singing and dancing, with a generous barbecue dinner and pairs of Tefillin to soldiers who requested it.
Also, they brought the soldiers a mobile laundry truck with washing machines for them to use and a barber who came voluntarily to give the soldiers haircuts.
After the joyful and moving evening, Hertzel heard from Rabbi Eliyahu Gutman of Kfar Chabad that the Ezer LaChayal association has been working for years with the soldiers of the IDF as part of the long, well-established tradition of volunteering with IDF soldiers, a tradition on which many in Kfar Chabad raised upon.
Erez, the Company Sergeant Major, also shared his gratitude for the volunteers who came to the border of Gaza to lift the soldiers’ spirits.
