At the Siyum Hashas today in MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, among the 90,000 attendees was Chabad Shliach Rabbi Yitzchok Lerman of Chabad of The Meadowlands, who was honored with a seat in the Rabbonim section.
Over the past couple of months, Rabbi Yitzchok and Bina Lerman have been answering numerous calls and emails from Siyum guests. Requests included information concerning places to stay, minyanim, kosher food and other needs.
Today, at the event and looking up at the magnitude of the crowds, Rabbi Lerman noted that it was only this past Sunday that he and Assistant Shliach, Rabbi Ephraim Balter had lit the menorah in Metlife Stadium. The difference between the two events could not be more jarring. At football games the fans are often rowdy and drunk. Today there was decorum and an aura of inspiration.
For the past 6 years Chabad of The Meadowlands has been deploying an annual Sukkah Mobile to the entrance of Metlife Stadium. This year was the first year Chabad received permission from Stadium security to park a giant 12 foot menorah in front of the stadium for both Sundays of Chanukah.
The past two Sundays, Rabbi Balter helped many willing football fans to put on Tefillin. Today again, Rabbi Balter entered the Stadium armed with his Tefillin and used the opportunity to put Tefillin on 15 guests and inspired other Lubavitchers to join him in Mivtza Tefillin at the Siyum HaShas.

Great job, amazing how many jew though about doing it
Amazing how they were able to find the only people who finished shas, but don’t wear Teffillin on a daily basis… 😉
Not everyone who attended Siyum Hashas, finished Shas.
There were thousands of people there to support others who did it and to be part of something great.
In a stadium of 90,000 frum yiddin, it takes 3 lubavitchers to notice a fellow Jew.
Not Ch”v to shame, but it’s important to be woke…
What an amazing place to reach yiddin who would cross paths with a conventional shliach

Tailgate/mivtzoim combo sounds dope 🥩🌭🙌
Rabbi Ephraim, I am glad you remembered to bring your Tefillin to the siyum…who would? Its Like bringing ice to an eskimo party. But next time bring your coat too! It was freezing!
That last picture with the Teffillin is hands down picture of the year
Five stars!
