After years of Chabad girls from Bet Shemesh, Israel having to travel to other cities in Israel to study for high school, Derech Chaya High School opened its doors today.
Founder Avigdor Factor, who has 3 daughters that have graduated high school, 1 daughter in high school, and 2 daughters soon to attend high school took the initiative to establish the school.
“For seven years there were discussions annually about opening a high school in town which never led to fruition, so today’s Simcha is especially great,” shared Rabbi Factor. “Boruch Hashem we had an amazing team working on the project, our outstanding principal Devorah Zigman, 9th grade teacher Alma Segev, Coordinator Oriya Katz, Moshe and Ester Raichman who worked tirelessly on the project, and Chabad city councilman Yisrael Mendelson.
“A special thanks as well goes to the Rabbis who gave their support and encouragement: Rabbi Avichid of RBS Alef and Rabbi Gluckowsky of RBS Gimmel,” Rabbi Factor shared.
Kol HaKavod to the Raichmans for their part in making this happen!!
