There is nothing more important than family bonding time. CGA is always finding creative and meaningful ways to incorporate those times into the school year and encourage a strong home-school connection. In doing so, we created a program geared toward fathers and daughters.
In honor of Yud Tes Kislev, the students of Chabad Girls Academy attended a special Father-Daughter Melave Malka. Fathers (or brothers, uncles, and guardians) brought their daughters on Motzei Shabbos to an elegant Melave Malka. The pairs sat together and enjoyed a delicious buffet.
A Yud Tes Kislev learning guide was studied by the father-daughter duos. They learned the information together and applied that knowledge in an educational game of ‘Yud Tes Kislev BINGO’.
As a musical accompaniment to the evening, three of our budding musicians, Mushka Pellman, Chaya Shira Nimni, and Bella Eber, played an inspiring niggunim medley. Our girls practice and improve upon their musical talents in our music elective class taught by our expert music teacher Ms. Dana Pestun.
Leading up to the holy day of Yud Tes Kislev, every student had the opportunity to join in a special hachana l’yud tes kislev by choosing a practical hachlata. The girls who participated in the hachana were part of a raffle at the Melave Malka. Two winners were drawn, one winning a drone and the other a gift card to The Ice Cream House!
It was a warm and inspiring evening, a unique bonding opportunity, and an absolute success!
