On June 18, 2023, Chabad Girls Academy (CGA) in Crown Heights celebrated a momentous milestone as it held its 10th annual 8th-grade graduation ceremony.
The event was a testament to the dedication and commitment exhibited by the graduating students, who had transformed themselves academically, spiritually, and socially throughout their years at CGA. The ceremony was filled with meaningful moments, speeches, and reflections that showcased each student’s immense growth and potential.
The Power of Bitachon and Inspiration:
The graduation ceremony commenced with an 8th grader reciting the Rebbe’s Kapital, setting a spiritual tone for the event. The audience was then privileged to hear from Rabbi Levi Garelik, who emphasized the profound belief that the CGA staff and teachers had in each student. He spoke about the responsibility of the graduates to utilize the knowledge and values they acquired at CGA to fuel their future success. Rabbi Garelik also shared a heartfelt letter written by the Rebbe to a graduating class, underscoring the importance of their achievements and their impact on the world.
Speeches of Meaning and Inspiration:
One of the highlights of the ceremony was the opportunity for each student to share a speech they had written. As they took turns being called up, they conveyed the deep meaning behind their personal growth and what inspired them to strive for their best selves. Mrs. Devorah Leah Kramer, the head of CGA, delivered each graduate a heartfelt message of empowerment and encouragement. She expressed her confidence in their abilities and wished them success in their future endeavors. Mrs. Kramer also took the time to acknowledge and express gratitude to the dedicated teachers and administrators who had played a pivotal role in the students’ educational journey.
