Chabad Active at Durban II

Several Jewish communities in Geneva joined to establish a Jewish hospitality Center for guests of the UN Durban Review Conference. The center is providing kosher meals, and is working to promote the state of Israel through lectures and consultations for Israelis, Jews and pro-Israel activists attending the conference. Photos

i might agree with you that Jews shouldnt be goig there.
but the shluchim who are there, want just to get their picture taken.
ps the Rebbe was against doing mivtzoim by the olympics, and only recently have shluchim started going there.

I only imagine your question is directed towards the Jews going there – not the Shluchim, who are obviously only catering to Jews arriving to the area, and not in any form seen as an endorsement.

The same thing with the olympics – the Rebbe said it’s “shoresh” is “bAvodoh zara” – yet we are only servicing the tourists with Kosher hospitality, nothing more.

Hatlzacha rabba Shluchim!

why do jews glorify this conference and their accompanying savages with their presence

They should give out copies of what the Rebbe about Israel and also information about the sheva mitzvos and moshiach. Thank you shluchim.
