CKids Gan Israel Poconos recently concluded its third annual Winter Camp, and it was an incredible success! The camp welcomed Jewish girls from all over the country for a memorable week of fun activities, meaningful learning, and vibrant Chanukah celebrations.
The campers enjoyed an action-packed week, including exciting trips and special programs, all expertly coordinated by Program Director Sheina Sandler. The camp started with a fun carnival and icebreaker games, followed by an ice skating adventure on the first full day. After a dance activity, the campers participated in a creative art session with @_brushhour_.
The excitement continued the next day with a skiing trip, where campers received professional lessons and enjoyed time on the slopes, concluding with a delicious dinner. The next day included visiting a trampoline park, a unique art session with @chanaleah_art to paint beautiful Menorahs, and a warm swimming activity in the indoor pool.
On Thursday, the campers enjoyed another full-day trip, starting with bowling and arcade games before heading to snow tubing, and then wrapping up the day with a kosher shopping scavenger hunt. These fun trips ensured there was never a dull moment throughout the week.
Chanukah festivities were at the heart of the program, with campers lighting their own menorahs and celebrating together through song and dance. Despite the chilly temperatures, the warmth and friendship at the camp were evident as the girls recharged spiritually and emotionally, thanks to inspiring learning programs led by Learning Director Dassi Spritzer.
“We are incredibly grateful to the Shluchim and all of our supporters who made this winter camp experience possible,” said Gershon Sandler, Founder and Executive Director of CGI Poconos. “Their dedication and generosity allow us to provide an unforgettable opportunity for the children to recharge spiritually, build connections, and return home inspired and strengthened in their Yiddishkeit.”
A special thank you to Head Counselors Rochele Klein and Mushka Cohen for their exceptional dedication to creating a safe, supportive, and exciting environment at camp. Their leadership and the entire staff’s efforts were instrumental in making this camp experience truly unforgettable.
“This winter camp has been an amazing success, with the campers all leaving with renewed energy and a stronger connection to Yiddishkeit,” said Rabbi Moshe Browd, Director of Operations at CGI Poconos, “we are already preparing for an even more exciting summer camp, building on the momentum and inspiration from this incredible winter program.”
