After months of tireless efforts and preparations, 10 days of unstoppable fun and inspiration, last week CGI Poconos concluded their first ever, one of a kind, overnight Winter Camp program for 40 public school girls from across the country.
For 10 days the girls were treated to non stop fun and action full of hands on Jewish activities and amazing trips.
Camp started off with a bang when the first night they had a Komitoms night activity! The campers and staff spent two uplifting Shabbosim together and had the opportunity to celebrate the Bat Mitzvah of one of the campers who flew in specially from S. Fransisco just for that.
During the week the campers went ice skating, skiing with prior professional lessons, iPlay America which is NJ’s largest indoor amusement park, bowling, a trampoline park, the Ohel and much more!
“This was the best and most productive way for the girls to spend their winter break,” said Gershon Sandler, founder and director of CGI Poconos. “They all left with renewed energy and excitement for Torah and Mitzvah and reignited their jewish spark”.
Although camp ended last week all the campers are all still actively engaged in the ongoing Mitzvah challenges arranged by the head staff.
We are grateful for the group of amazing staff who showed unbelievable dedication and responsibility for each and every one of the campers, ensuring that they had an unforgettable experience.
The Winter Camp was based out of the beautiful Vallevue Estate in Morristown, NJ.
“Although the Winter Camp just finished we have already began enrollment for the summer and we are anticipating our biggest season yet,” said Moshe Browd, Director of Growth. “we are expanding our program offerings this year and we are looking forward to the second decade in this Shlichus.”
