Camp Gan Israel Florida is world-renowned for its attention to the entire child, the hallmark of the camp is our emphasis on a well-rounded program that combines both Ruchniyus and Gashmius.
Located in Lake Worth, Florida, where the sunrise is a marvel to behold, CGI Florida promises to continue its tradition of redefining what a Gan Israel Florida overnight experience is all about, making the dreams of campers comes true.
The culture is infused with the spirit of Ahavas Yisroel; it nurtures a warm, Chassidish and friendly atmosphere; each camper knows that she counts and is cared for by staff and fellow campers alike.
The camp will be led by its Executive Director, Rabbi Yosef Biston, Director, Mrs. Shira Wajsbort as well as Mrs. Estie Gutnick, Camp Administrator.
Shira Wajsbort (nee Nesenoff) has a been head counselor in Chabad Camps all over America, she is the founder and director, for the past seven years of Shira Dance Camp in Crown Heights. Mrs. Wajsbort loves using her professional training as a dance teacher as well as her passion for creative and innovative programming to bring excitement to camp.
The Learning Curriculum is geared to stimulate involvement and imagination; many of these lessons are supported by weekly game shows and “hands-on” projects to enhance the campers knowledge, keeping the learning experience fun and enjoyable.
With a nightly “Reflection Time” (a 1 min. Rebbe video and Cheshbon Hanefesh daily) and innovative Tzivos Hashem Program, the campers receive a wonderful level of motivation and are ready and eager to learn each morning.
One of the highlights of CGI is the Tznius Queen and Ahavas Yisroel awards that are given out daily. The campers learn the true importance and significance of what it means to be a Bas Chabad by living it each day.
Shabbos is unique and special as the feeling of Achdus and camaraderie permeates throughout the camp, as new friendships are forged. The sweet sound of singing and harmony of Niggunim and camp songs fill the air.
“The goal at our camp is to make everyone feel at home and comfortable. The campers needs are always a priority. We make sure that each and every girl is taken care of and happy. We do whatever necessary to make that happen,” said Rabbi Biston.
“CGI Florida is known for its perfect blend of Chassidishkeit and fun giving a chance for each girl to shine in so many different ways. We are a family camp, where every individual is noticed and cared about. The staff has created an exceptional experience for the campers with their dedication, devotion and positive energy 24-7,” said Mrs. Gutnick.
Facilities are climate controlled and centrally air-conditioned. Meals – not to mention our legendary salad bars – are catered by Chef Nissan Pewsner.
