After months of uncertainty, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced on Friday that overnight camps are allowed to open in the state.
The camp had already been preparing to increase capacity this year, due to the higher demand, with many camps facing closures after coronavirus restrictions.
All campers who were registered pre-pandemic are already enrolled, and they are reopening registration to meet the demand, they said.
The Bar Mitzvah Division is in its own area of camp, with its own beautiful beach on camps gorgeous lake.
“This year we added a dock with new boats, and many new activities in camp,” Bar Mitzvah Division Director Rabbi Levi Raichik said.
The BMD camp will take place July 28-August 25. Open to 7th and 8th grade boys.
