In honor of Yud Shvat, the students of Chabad Girls Academy participated in some truly meaningful and creative activities.
For Chassidus before davening, everyone learned about the theme of the day, the four different modes of Hiskashrus to the Rebbe: father and child, shepard and sheep, body and head, and soldier and commander.
The girls were treated to cookies from Chocolatte followed by an energetic davening in 770. Back in class, they wrote panim to the Rebbe. Activities continued with decorating Rebbe Keychains, a special sponsored fleishig lunch, and a LIVE Connect Four game based on the four modes of Hiskashrus.
To kick things up a notch, every girl participated in a Chidon based on the month long learning program instituted as a preparation for Yud Shvat. Chidon information included in-depth knowledge of the Yud Beis Pesukim and general knowledge about the Rebbeim. The seven finalist presented their knowledge in an interactive game show!!
Following the Chidon was a grand Hachlata auction. Whoever kept a specific Hachlata for the past month participated in the auction, winning fabulous prizes.
The beautiful program ended with the 8th grade choir’s gorgeous songs and a peek into a new school wide initiative – Seventy Mitzvos for Seventy Years.
Each class will be collecting seventy mitzvos for the Rebbe. A sincerely befitting way to take the energy from the special day and continue the Legacy of the Rebbe and the work of Dor HaShvii!
