In the last 36 hours, culminating on the evening of 22 Shevat, RCM Bikur Cholim of CH held a Charidy campaign which raised a remarkable $404,624! Over a thousand individual donors participated, showing the community’s wholehearted support by funding Bikur Cholim’s work.
In 5748-1988, Bikur Cholim of Crown Heights was renamed, with the Rebbe’s blessing, to carry the Rebbetzin’s name. Today, the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka Bikur Cholim of Crown Heights carries not just her name, but her legacy. During Rebbetzin’s lifetime, she nobly guarded her privacy. It was only after her passing that countless stories began to emerge of her many acts of kindness, always carried out with the utmost humility and discretion.
A trademark of Bikur Cholim’s methods is operating under conditions of absolute confidentiality. With the additional challenges of this past year’s emotional toll, Bikur Cholim’s reputation for sensitivity and discretion enabled people who needed it to comfortably ask for help.
