The Sunshine Bunk in Camp Emunah is making some incredible changes, and we need your help!
With help from Friendship Circle of Crown Heights, nine years ago, the first Lubavitcher bunk for children with special needs was launched in Camp Emunah sleep away camp. The Program provides the children with the opportunity to have an amazing summer experience and make new friends to last a lifetime in a typical mainstream camp setting.
While integrated in the Camp Emunah schedule for camp activities, meals, trips, and more, the Sunshine Bunk is its own division in camp and has separate financial needs. The program is based on a one-on-one model with bunkhouses custom designed to meet the children’s needs. Special equipment and a camp aide are also needed to help the program function optimally.
With registration on the rise, a second bunkhouse is needed as we split the program into 2 divisions: Bas Mitzvah age group, and teenage group.
With camp starting in 2 weeks, time is of the essence. We are looking to raise $38K to complete the refurbishing of the bunkhouse, as well as help defray the cost of the special equipment and staff needed. Contributions of any amount are welcome and needed.
Thank you for joining our CAMPaign!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and safe summer.
