Camp Emunah announced that two major renovations were completed in time for the 2024 summer session.
In the months leading up to the 2024 summer session, a swimming pool was installed for the campers of the new “Mini Emunah” division. The in-ground pool has a maximum depth of 4 feet, which is intended for new swimmers. This new addition helps the girls of Mini Emunah to improve their water skills and keep cool on hot summer days.
In addition, a new gymnasium was built for Emunah’s Junior Division. The new gym presents a variety of new sports and activity options, and offers a place to keep the action going even on rainy days. An indoor gym is so important for camp especially when there are rainy days, said Baila Rochel Kievman.
Emunah’s administrator, Rabbi Hanoch Hecht, said, “I’m thrilled that both of these projects were ready on time for our girls. We’re always looking for ways to improve and give our campers the best summer possible.”
Camp Emunah was founded in 1953 by Rabbi Jacob J. (“JJ”) and Rebbetzin Chave Hecht OBM, with guidance and direction from the Lubavitcher Rebbe. Emunah has welcomed many thousands of campers and has generations of alumni all over the world. We are also very careful to follow in the legacy of Rabbi J.J. & Reb Chave Hecht, of blessed memory, that summer camp vacation is not a luxury, but it is a necessity for every Jewish child.
