Calabria, that serves an array of square pizza by the weight in Crown Heights, have shut their pizza ovens for good, Great Kosher Restaurants reports.
Wednesday September, 11th was the last day for the Kingston Avenue pizza shop as they have been sold to the owners of Alenbi, who will be opening a fast, casual, street fare meat restaurant in 2020.
In other news, Jus by Julie in Crown Heights, one location in a chain of juice and smoothie bars shut its doors in early September.
The store was located at 1090 St Johns Place, off Kingston Avenue. The store front is currently up for rent.
Calabria will be missed.
Is it still open?
Not easy to run restaurant these days
They might open a new location in CH but Alenbi really wanted that spot.
Jus was “SUPPOSEDLY” kosher.
However, they were open on Shabbos.
Here is the bottom line if you go against the bais din ruling you will eventually close shop. Proud to say i never eaten there at all due to their ignoring of the psak din.
I’m confused if Kingston Pizza closed too or if you’re referring to Calabria since it it on Kingston?????
