A tragedy beyond comprehension: terrorists murdered 32-year-old Meir Tamari HYD, an Israeli civilian and devoted father of two. His wife is now widowed and his two small children are orphaned, grief stricken and without financial support.
Meir was ambushed and gunned down in a West Bank terrorist attack while driving home from errands. He was laid to rest on Wednesday. His burial coincided with what would have been his 32nd birthday.
Known for his talent and charisma, Meir touched many lives through his countless acts of kindness. He was the sole financial support for his family and previously served his country with honor in the Israeli military.
While the loss reverberates throughout the Jewish community, the hardest hit are his wife and children, whose world has been shattered beyond recognition.
“You were supposed to be 32-years-old today. Instead of wishing you a happy birthday, I am now alone with the children,” expressed his wife, Tal Tamari, through a vale of tears. “It doesn’t make sense that our children won’t be able to see your light, experience you more, grow with you and learn from you your goodness, your honesty and your willingness to help others,” she eulogized. “This is an unfathomable reality.”
Today, it is our shared responsibility to rally around this grieving family. We must come together to provide not just comfort, but also financial stability for Tal and her children in these testing times.
Please join us in turning this story of sorrow into a tale of community resilience and strength. Your generous support can make a world of difference to this young, bereaved family.
