A burglar was arrested after he broke into an apartment in Crown Heights and was caught red-handed on Tuesday, Motzoei Simchas Torah.
The incident occurred at around 9:30pm when a neighbor witnessed a black male enter an apartment in the building at 565 Crown Street via the fire escape window. The neighbor immediately called 911 and notified the apartment owner who wasn’t nearby. The owner then called Shmira as well.
The police and Shmira members surrounded the apartment as the perp locked himself inside. Shortly afterward, when the NYPD’s emergency service unit arrived, the perp opened the door and surrendered himself.
Shmira reminds the public to always keep windows and fire escape locked at all times. In case of emergency, call 911 and Shmira at 718-221-0303.
Crime is big business.
The criminal who harmed Moscowitz was arrested, incarcerated and released 40 times!
Compare this to what the government should have, is The Seven Noahide Laws to be a civilized society.
The Crown Heights Pogrom lasted for three days after a murder! Might there not be another murder?
The government here cares little for their citizens.
All you naive Jews keep praising them, crime will continue.

If you’re on the top floor on next to it, they can be accessed from the roof if they gain entry inside the bldg. or fire
escape unfortunately.
It was the third floor. You should always lock windows. Never take a chance.
The idiot tried robbing a Crown Heights apartment during the busiest night in Crown Heights! Does he not know how to read the room? Lol dumb criminals!
Kudos to our police for their quick response, and the good
neighbor who noticed and took action!
Anyone know which floor it was?
Does 6th floor need gate if open to busy street?
Baruch Hashem he was caught
The amount of people that were present tonight showed tremendous care. We are so grateful for caring neighbors. Thanks to the NYPD who came all geared up and shmira who helped for hours afterwards. Thanks to all that were involved in helping the situation.
Because apparently the suspect locked himself into the apartment, so there’s no way of knowing if he’s heavily armed, so, you have to be cautious.
I think the police have gotten much better with community relations and we should be thankful for that
the police for their prompt response ?????
Great they caught the guy. But why did the NYPD respond with five cars and 3 special operations units…? A bit of an overkill imho. I walked past and the amount of police there it looked like it was a mass shooting.
Thank you neighbor for taking action!!!
